So...this card requires shugenja or monks, none of whom can actually use the Dark Virtues it keys off of.

Could be really great with Kishida, but for some reason I'm having Phoenix Synergy flashbacks here.

And kishida was getting played in such decks... add muketsu, maybe katashi with the legacy and a certain unique or two... it looks viable,

We'll see how it works out, I suppose.

I'm still not entirely sold on this one.

It has potential. I'd have to test it.

I'm not sold on this one...early in the game, this is a dead card. cramming lots of dark virtues in a fate deck for military is not a good idea either, because they're in the place of more useful pkill/sendhome actions.

While vs. some decks like lion this will help (low chi overall) also with some crab. Overall it is so so for me.

I don't like it. It's very difficult to use and requires you to bow a guy. How often are you really going to be able to populate your discard with enough DVs in a deck that needs to run both samurai and shugenja/monks? At least it's a common.

Well as far as the cost you have x2 uniques that negate... Michio says straighten and so does our armor.
Jumpy Lumpkins says straighten as does our clan Champion. Daddy Daigotsu.

This looks like a way to run a DV deck samurai monk.
I think it has possibilities.

Our Gunso.
With my current DV build (though it is all samurai) (this can easily be adjusted though) I have bare minimum 5 DVs in my discard by the final battle.

Monks and Samurai in a DV deck LOOKS LIKE it can work ... I will have to do some testing. This has the potential to be very good, it looks like it's a little too conditional ATM.

I disagree, its a pretty good card for my Shug/Sam military/duel/breeder army

Chuda making samurai equals great use of key DV's
-3 Control
-3 Knowledge

-3 Insight cause it rocks
-2 Perfection

I tend to have an easy 4 DV used by turn 7 and buy the last battle I would likely have 7 in there...kill anything.

Who cares about bowing a Shug when it has alrdy made its stand in:

Limited: Create 2+ Force Personality
Battle: Bow to kill something

Remember this is the amount of DV in ALL discard piles, theirs included. Its not great but alot of the competitive decks are running knowledge and determination.

Its a start. But yeah Monk Sam Paragon madness here we come

Kishida and Tetsuo are two solid Monks that can supplement a mostly Samurai Dark Virtue theme. Add in Michio XP and Muketsu, and you've got 8, which is more than enough to include a few good Kiho.

I have a decklist, but never got to test it (what, I had 6 Spider decks (and 2 Maw's Grave) for W&D PT written up...I only have so much time! Smile), so I can't back up the idea with any results, but its got potential.
